The three Alphans arrived at the Eye of the World at a time that was incomprehensible to them because they didn't carry watches and could not see the position of the sun because the sky was so grey. It could have been nighttime or daylight for all that they cared. But the time was not important to them, only their mission mattered.

Over the past couple of months, with the original defeat of the AIM paranormal strikeforce and the arrival of Brainwave and the Faux Alpha Flight, a dark day had befallen Alpha Flight. This dark day was marked by the reappearance of Llan, the Sorcerer and his team of evil mystics ( the Dream Queen, Pestilence, and Ranark, the Ravager). As an added measure, the Dream Queen enlisted the aid of the Jade Dragon and the merciless China Force and Llan the Great Beasts to fight for their cause.

Now, it is up to Talisman, Snowbird, and Shaman to find the whereabouts of Llan's skyscraper headquarters. That is why they have traversed the long journey to the center of the world, to the Eye of the World.

"This is the place where we were aided by Dr. Strange," Shaman recalled, looking at and remembering the battle he fought with the Master of the Mystic Arts, "And where Llan freed the Great Beasts from their temporal prison. It is here where our fight shall begin."

"I'll place a spell of protection over us so that Llan, if he shall ever come to fight us, shall not hurt us," Talisman said, as she waved her arms in the air and with but a gesture, placed the said spell over her two family members.

"Now it looks like it is up to me to use my post-cognitive vision to see what happened since we were gone," Snowbird said as she used her powers to peel back the web of time to do as she instructed her team-mates and closest family that she wanted to do.

Snowbird's eyes glowed as if they were afire. Eldritch fire waved out of her pupils as a vision appeared before them all. Snowbird showed them the fight with the Great Beasts and Llan, the Sorcerer, how after the great battle, Llan teleported the Great Beasts to a place elsewhere. She couldn't place the building but it was someplace in Canada and a great distance from the Eye of the World.

There was a great blast from underneath the ground of the Eye, the crater that was akin to the moon, and suddenly some other being appeared from the rubble. It was a tall, smiling man, with a blue mohawk on his otherwise bald pate and he wore a costume that was very familiar to the Alphans.

"Well, well, well. if it ain't the mystical side of Alphan Flight??" the smiling man said. "This would be a battle worth fighting to see you all rot in the netherrealm from whence I came!"

"Llan, you won't get away with this," Shaman said. He started to reach inside his medicine pouch to battle the evil sorcerer but before any of them had a chance to react, Llan placed a spell on them to make fall asleep and transport them to the astral plane.

The last thing that they heard as they prepared to perish to their eternal deaths was his unending, undying laughter.

"Prepare to die!!" Kamikaze said, as he launched into battle against Diamond Lil in the Combat Room within the Alpha Complex. She stood at the other side of the room, waiting patiently for his stealth-like attack. He was as ferocious as a tiger, snarling like one, and as sneaky as a cobra. With out-stretched arms, he flew in the air, gliding on the airwaves, and landed above Lillian Crawley. She easily evaded his attack and tumbled out of the way.

"You won't get me that easily," she said, as she come out of the tumble to renew her parry.

This time, Kamikaze thrusted a kick in her general direction. She was so quick, so fast, that she saw it coming and prepared for it. She grabbed his foot before it connected and threw him against the metallic wall of the Combat Room. He took the brunt of the impact, bracing himself seconds before for it.

What he did was quite a marvel. He bent his legs in a perfect arc, stepped in the wall, and vaulted himself in the air over her head and landed right in front of her. Diamond Lil had seen less spectacular feats in her day but was surprised none the less. What she couldn't understand about her sparring partner was how he was able to attack an opponent and come out unscathed. No one, short of Llan, the Sorcerer, could do that. Maybe he was secretly an agent of Llan's sent to undermine our organization, she thought, but that was ridiculous. He was in our employ before Llan was freed.

"That was mighty impressive, Mr. Harada," Lil said, as she smiled at him. She seemed to have taken quite a shine to him and he was receptive but it appeared that he didn't want to reciprocate because of the interference of Madison Jeffries, her husband. "Now, let's cool off and see what's up with the rest of Alpha Flight. I know that Gentry scheduled a meeting with you in mind."

"Now, I know that he is not the only one with me in mind, right, Lillian?" Kamikaze said, as he removed his mask and neared Lil's waiting form. He stared into her eyes, grabbed her shoulders, and kissed her full on the lips. It was a kiss that seemed to stretch to infinity and eternity.

When they parted, Lil felt that she wasn't alone with Kamikaze.

"Madison?! I didn't know that you were here?" Lil said.

"I can see that." Madison stood feet away with his arms folded across his chest and a deep frown upon his face. Obviously, he saw the whole display and was not pleased with it one bit. "You're coming with me, lady!" He said, as he took her by the hand, leading her away out of the Combat Room, separating her from the persistant Kamikaze.

"We'll have to do this again sometime, Lillian," Kamikaze said.

The way he said 'Lillian' sent shivers down both of their spines.

Mr. Gentry called for one of his weekly meetings that quickly turned into a daily meeting with the escape attempt of Ranark, the Ravager by Llan, the Sorcerer quite successful. Gentry was anxious for this whole evil mystic affair to be over and done with and they were closer to the result of that than ever before.

Mr. Gentry stood up at the center of the assembly room and spoke to the assembled members of Alpha Flight, "As you all know, Llan used his sorcerer powers to transport Ranark to a place of his choosing. It is imperative that we find out where his HQ is. It seems that our mystics have gone on a solo mission to find out that information from Llan himself. I am not all that happy of any member of our team going solo but if that is the way it must be, then so be it."

"What do you expect us to do in the meantime, eh?" Puck asked.

"Simply, Judd, that I have talked about our mission when Talisman, Snowbird, and Shaman return with the location of Llan's HQ, we will be able to start our side of it. The Jade Dragon is held prisoner along with China Force in the mindhold of the Dream Queen. Kamikaze will go with Talisman to defeat them and free them of the spell."

"Why should Kamikaze go?" Northstar asked.

"In case you haven't noticed, Frenchie," Sasquatch said. "He's the only one capable enough to defeat them. If he can defeat nearly all of Alpha Flight singlehandedly, then the Jade Dragon and China Force should be no problem."

"But what if the Dream Queen decides to attack him?" Aurora asked.

"That is why he is bringing Talisman along with him," Mr. Gentry said. "We have all our bases covered. Don't you remember from our files when Talisman defeated the Dream Queen when China Force first attacked us under her spell?"

Diamond Lil turned to Kamikaze who just brooded after his brash act. She was careful not to mince words with him since Madison was watching every word she spoke to him, every action she made. "So, Kamikaze, are you up to this mission?"

"I will be ready as I ever will be."

Some things about you disturb me, Harada, Lil thought as she took in his response.

"That's about as any answer as you're going to get today from him," Madison Jeffries said. He was still ticked off about the passion play between Diamond Lil and Kamikaze that he experienced earlier today.

"Okay, that's enough," Gentry said. "Until our mission begins, before the mystics return with the location of Llan's HQ, all you are on downtime."

The Alphans retired to their quarters.

Talisman woke up minutes later after what seemed to be an intermittent time that she and her Alphan compatriots were unconscious. When they awoke, Llan the Sorcerer was standing above them, brooding, planning. She opened her eyes slowly and stirred in her seat. They were not chained but set free. Llan was too confidant in his power to not bound them up.

"Ah, you are all awake, now," Llan said, as he noticed that they were not unconscious as they had been. "Now we can bring about the final deaths of the Canadian super hero team known to the world as Alpha Flight. With you three defeated, it will be that much easier for my army to defeat the rest of the science based team members."

"You don't know what gibberish you're spouting, Llan," Talisman said, confidantly. "When you first escaped from your temporal prison we defeated you and we shall do it again but this time we don't need the help of Dr. Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts, to imprison you forever. This time it will only be the combined power of Alpha Flight to do the task."

"Now it is you who is spouting gibberish," Llan said. His hands were charged with mystical energy and he walked towards the supposed weakened Alphans. "You are destined for failure."

"Now, Alpha Flight! For Canada, for the freedom that is ours to give to others!!" Talisman shouted as a battlecry. Her hands were also charged with good mystical energy and she attacked Llan, not letting him an inch of recovery.

First, Shaman reached inside his medicine pouch and out came forth vines and plants to entrap the evil sorcerer. The vines made him stand his ground and he was affixed to the surface of the crater where he blasted them. He couldn't move in the slightest.

Next, Snowbird attacked by changing into her white Sasquatch form. In the form of the Great Beast, she was able to hold Llan still while Talisman performed her duty.

Talisman's hand touched Llan's head and she probed deep into his mind. She was searching for the location of his HQ. She had to search for long minutes before the location was transferred to her brain.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

This scream from Llan, the Sorcerer signalled his release from their hold. He used all his mystical might to travel the long distance to Ontario, Canada.
