A nimbus of energy appeared in the barren and dead world of the Dream Queen. Gamma Flight, the Derangers, and Alpha Flight arrived along with Llan the Sorcerer and his Army of Mystical Beings. The only people who were absent were the dead ones, Bedlam and Northstar, and two Alphans who have left the team for a time, Sasquatch and Aurora. Brainwave, the Faux Smart Alec, removed his hand from Shaman's medicine pouch without looking in it, completing the jaunt from Canada to Live World. He seemed to be cackling aloud as a madman would. "There, Flashback, we are here, and the final battle of supremacy over Alpha Flight can begin." Gardner Fox removed his mask and approached his host body of Gardner Monroe. Alpha Flight was slowly waking up. "You just don't have the killer instinct, Monroe, that is why you always was a failure in Gamma and Omega Flights. But I have that killer instinct. Everytime I popped out of you, I knew that I was the one who was in control." "NO!!" Monroe screamed as he lashed out with punches and kicks to Fox's jaw and stomach. Fox was hurt but he knew what pain felt like, being inside a body that was not his own. Freakout grabbed Monroe by a tuft of his costume and threw him against a rock. Though Freakout didn't speak much, he was a good muscleman. "I control these people," Fox said. "They follow my orders now. They dare not defy me." But one among them was a traitor. Box lifted Fox in the air and hurled him against Monroe. The Monroe Flashback made the Fox Flashback pop into nonexistence. "No more," Box said through his voice imprints. Llan watched this quarreling from afar with the rest of his Mystical Army. White Light had summoned his White Light Demons just in case they were needed later. Talisman was the first to stand up. She spoke, " The Dream Queen is controlling their minds. I shall erect a spell to turn them to normal." Elizabeth Twoyoungman gestured wildly and the dreams and nightmares that caused Gamma Flight and the Derangers to hate Alpha Flight vanished with so much ease. "And now, you shall return to the past to reclaim your normal lives," Talisman said. She gestured again and with a nimbus of energy, they vanished into the past. Guardian put a comforting hand on Gardner Monroe's shoulder. "I know you never wanted to be a piece of this, Monroe. You never wanted to be a villain when Jerry Jaxon brainwashed you and all of Gamma and Beta Flight to become Omega Flight to try to kill me and Alpha Flight. You deserve a chance to be a hero." "Dr. Hudson," Flashback started to say. "I saw one of my Future Men die years ago and now I know I may die soon. I don't know how long I have. I will like to give up this Flashback existence and live a normal life. Talisman, could you teleport me to my apartment in Montreal?" "Gladly," she said. She gestured again and a portal appeared. Flashback walked through it. "What about them?" Talisman asked Guardian. "Do your duty, Talisman," Guardian said. "Father, do you have the necessary items?" Shaman nodded. He reached into his pouch and took a stone obelisk and a silver ball. He handed them to Talisman, who threw them respectively at Llan and Ranark the Ravager. In an instant, they vanished, with cries of pain. The objects dropped to the ground of the barren world. "White Light," Talisman addressed the commander of the White Light demons. "You never were a part of this Army. You were brainwashed by Llan and the Dream Queen to do your bidding. You shall be transported to your own dimension." With that, White Light and his Demons vanished. All that remained was the Dream Queen and Pestilence. Shaman threw his Medicine Pouch at Pestilence and his corporeal form vanished inside the mouth of the bag. The empty shell that was his host body collapsed on the ground. "What about you, Dream Queen?" Shaman asked her. "Hey, you can't win them all," she responded. "Go, leave, be done and be gone." Talisman led Alpha Flight through the portal. Live World faded into nothingness. And the portal closed. Tokyo, Japan It was the end of the line for Kamikaze. He had scoured the city for Shadowhunter and the Kabuki Spiders who had held his father, the original 'Kamikaze', captive within their stronghold. He landed on the rooftop of the Clan Harada. He crawled onto the window and heard talking inside. Shadowhunter was talking to a cadre of the Spiders. He saw with his expert vision that a senior citizen was tied to a chair in the back. He was gagged and his eyes was shut with a blindfold. It was his father. He was sure of it. Kamikaze burst through the window, the glass shattering on the mat floor. He drew his sword and started to slash and rip and tear at the Spiders. They had no defense against this madman. Soon, it was just Kamikaze, face to face with Shadowhunter. "Your gang of Kabuki Spiders are no more," Harada said, swinging his samauri sword at Shadowhunter's own sword. "It is just you and me. Surrender now my father and end this farce." "Never, student. I will never surrender to you and that old codger." They slashed swords, as they ripped both of their ninja tunics. "Really?" Kamikaze asked, as he clanged his sword against his foe's and Shadowhunter's sword fell to the ground. "Care to try again?" Shadowhunter bowed in shame and took off his devil mask. "This just goes to show that the student is superior to the master. Take him, he's yours." "Just to make sure you're not playing possum, I will relinquish you of your weapon." Kamikaze carried both his and his master's sword and walked over to where his father was sitting. He used his sword to untie his father's bonds. "Papa, it's me, it's Harry," Kamikaze said, as he unmasked the old wizened face of Harold Harada. Harry was his old childhood name. "I've missed you so." "I've missed you too son." Father and son embraced for long moments, as Shadowhunter made good his escape. "I read about your exploits in Canada," Harada-san said to his son. "We have a lot to talk about now. I've always felt that you never really belonged in Alpha Flight. Why don't we go home and you become a hero of the Land of the Rising Sun, like I was in World War II?" 'Hai. I would like that very much."
Alpha Complex After Alpha Flight had returned home, Shaman, Dr. Michael Twoyoungmen, was in the infirmary with Lillian Crawley, who was ready to give birth. She was in her hospital gown, with her husband Madison Jeffries right beside her, holding her hand. Lil squeezed Madison's hand, as the contractions began. "Okay, you're doing very well, Lillian, begin your breathing now. Don't push yet. Try to sustain it. Don't push. Just breathe," Shaman said. Diamond Lil screamed aloud. "It's so painful. I can't hold it in any longer. I have to push. I have to." She was drenched in sweat. Madison hated to see her in such pain. "Your breathing, Lil. Remember your breathing." "I can't. It's too painful." "Begin your pushing now, Lil!! Push, like you've never pushed before!" "I can't-I can't!!" "Push!" "C'mon, honey, you can do it, you're the original invulnerable lady!" "AAAHHH!!!" "I see a head, it's coming out." "C'mon, hon, just a little more." "AAHHH!!" "It's out, it's out." Shaman held the baby, snipped the umbilical cord, and presented the child to its mother and father. 'You did a great job, Lil. You have a healthy baby boy. Now, all that remains is for you to name it." Lil was tired, but she still had energy enough to smile at the boy. "We already discussed this, Shaman, and we've decided on Boxie. After the man who created the Box armour." "Mr. Bochs would be proud." A nurse came in. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Jeffries, but I have to take Boxie to the nursery." "Of course," Lil said. "He's so beautiful, I hate to tear myself away from him." The nurse took the baby and left the room. Madison embraced his wife. "Congratulations, Mrs. Jeffries, but you are now a mother." "I just wish that Kamikaze could see this " "Oh, don't bring that up now. He's in Japan where he belongs. He was never a part of this family. Now, it's time for us to enjoy being parents, without Alpha Flight or outside interference." "You're right, Maddie. We're a family. Now and forever. Hang the rest."
