KAKOOM!!! "Man that last world was crazy as hell," Ever said as he grabbed his head in pain. Every time he dimension jumped he got an excruciating headache. "Yea who would have thought we'd ever meet a four headed Storm. That was just plain weird," Star Prophet said as she clutched her stomach. She felt like vomiting, but she refused to let it come up. "I don't know about the rest of you, but meeting Exodus's son was the craziest part for me," Plazm said. His physiology made it so that the dimension jumps hardly, if at all, affected him. That made him the envy of the group every time before and after a dimension jump. "Exodus and Selene? Who would have ever thought? I just hope Sinister never gets that idea," Proteus said finally starting to get his bearings again. "We don't need to worry about that at the moment. First we need to find out what's the deal with this world and topple whatever general Ramses has in place here," Mutant Forger commanded. Fiji Shard opened up the e-mail to see the list of the latest casualties in her war on General Legolas. The woman was anxious while at the same time cautious in opening the e-mail. She was afraid to see the name that she could almost feel she would see on there. With her blue mouse she clicked open the e-mail. Subject: Recent Casualties in North America Moonstar (Dead in St. Louis) At the sight of that last name Shard quickly closed the e-mail, sat her head on her desk, and began to cry furiously. She had sent Bishop in with a five-man squad to take out a research center headed up by Lt. Tarot that was centered in New York. Shard had known the mission was risky, but it had to be accomplished. Up until this point Shard had kept telling herself she would be able to handle losing Bishop just as he could handle losing her. Now she knew otherwise. Speedball, Lady Deathstrike, and Belladona all walked into Shard's office as she just finished drying away her tears. Shard looked up with blood red eyes and asked, "What can I do for you guys?" "We just picked up on a dimensional disturbance on the Malaysian coastland," Lady Deathstrike replied. "Damn it! That probably means that Legolas is getting some new forces delivered to him. I suggest we give them a warm welcome. Who do we have near that area?" Shard asked. "Pack 917 is in that area," Belladona replied. "And just who would this Pack consist of? I can hardly remember every member of every Pack under my command," Shard explained. "Of course Shard. We understand that completely. I know about Pack 917. I use to be a member of that Pack for a while until I was transferred. Magik, Storm, Sabertooth, Firestar, Plastic Kid, and Pagan all make up that Pack. We were all pretty damn effective for a while in our designated area until Lt. Titania moved in and proved to be a far better commander than the former commander, Lt. Bloodbear," Speedball said. It had been so long since Speedball had seen his old Pack that he wasn't even sure how he felt about them anymore. He had once had feelings for Firestar. Angelica had even been pregnant with his child, but Storm's older brother, Galeforce, beat her ruthlessly. That caused her to lose the baby and in a way it caused him to lose his relationship with Angelica. Before Speedball and her even had a chance to at least end things on good terms he was shipped off to Pack 1873. "Inform Pack 917 about this disturbance and have them handle it. Tell them any method they choose to use is authorized," Shard said. "Of course," Lady Deathstrike said as she backed away from Shard's desk and turned to walk out the room. Guam "General Legolas we may have a problem," She-Hulk said as she burst into Legolas's throne room. "And do you care to tell me what it is or are you going to just run around like a headless chicken?" Legolas asked sarcastically. She-Hulk immediately calmed down and straightened herself up. "Of course sir. We have some dimensional disturbance that we picked up on in the Malaysia area." The woman now had Legolas's undivided attention. Before he had been thinking of how he would ravish his wife, Scarlet Witch, later on that night. Now though She-Hulk's revelation had made Legolas take notice. "Tell me more about this disturbance." "It's not a very big disturbance. Probably only a transport of only five or six people," She-Hulk explained. "That could still be something. Take Volcana, Molten Man, Tsunami, and Hellios with you to check out this disturbance. If it's a problem eliminate it. Understood?" "Yes sir!" She-Hulk exclaimed. "Good. Now go!" Malaysia "So do you think these guys are any kind of trouble?" Firestar asked as she flew through the air. "Probably. I haven't known any dimension jump to mean a good thing before," Plastic Kid said. "Very true," Pagan said as he leaped up into the air. "We have an incoming!" Storm said as she saw a large pink ball of energy headed their way. She surrounded herself in lighting just in case a telekinetic attack was about to head her way. "Everybody brace themselves! It seems the enemy has found us," Magik said pulling out her Soulsword. "We're only the enemy if you serve under the rule of Ramses," the voice of Mutant Forger telepathically proclaimed. Only seconds after his proclamation was made Mutant Forger and his allies were in front of Pack 917. They were all surrounded in a powerful telekinetic shield formed by Mutant Forger. "We in no way serve Ramses, but just who exactly are you?" Sabertooth said unleashing his ten adamantium claws. "My name is Mutant Forger and we've been fighting the forces of Ramses across numerous dimensions. We're determined to end his empire once and for all." "Ramses is unstoppable. Your quest is hopeless," Firestar said. "Your quest is far from helpless. Ramses tried to invade our world and he died there. His forces died there, as did his top generals. Ramses is no more. All that is left of his empire are the generals he had placed on each world. Your world is the next one we intend to free," Star Prophet explained. "So you're here to free this world? Too bad for you that you won't ever get the chance," exclaimed the voice of She-Hulk. Everyone's attention was instantly focused on the five super powered beings that had just appeared. "She-Hulk! I'll kill you yet!" Sabertooth yelled as he jumped up high into the air with his claws hanging back in the air. He was going to bring them crashing down on She-Hulk's head, but before he had the chance the magma of Volcana overtook his entire body. Not even his healing factor could save him from those searing flames. "Creed! NOOO!!" Firestar cried out as she saw the man she considered a brother engulfed in magma. Victor had attacked She-Hulk out of rage. She had killed Victor's son, Graydon, brutally and Sabertooth had always sworn vengeance. He let his rage kill him. Firestar would get Victor his revenge though. She promised herself that. "Surrender yourself to us now and no harm will befall you," She-Hulk said as she was flanked by her soldiers. To her right were Volcana and Molten Man. To her left were Tsunami and Hellios. "Never you foul woman!" Storm exclaimed. Magik let loose her Soulsword and came to Ororo's side. Firestar took the air beside Storm. Plastic Kid stood on Pagan's shoulders preparing to attack. "I suggest you surrender Ms. Walters. I'll only make the offer once," Mutant Forger said as his eyes and body flared up with pink telekinetic energy. He and his allies had been to nearly 30 worlds so far. On each things were just a little different, but one common theme ran through all of them. They were under Ramses's control. Mutant Forger was trying to change that. "Give me one good reason why I should surrender to you?" She-Hulk asked almost unable to believe someone had actually told her to surrender. The last time she had heard that was when she had to fight alone against Catseye, Tigra, and Wolverine. She had killed all three of them. "Give her a reason Proteus," Mutant Forger smiled as Osman nodded in understanding. His brown eyes turned a bright orange as Volcana and Molten Man's bodies turned to mud. "Screw you!" Tsunami yelled angrily as she used her power to take control of the water that made up most of Proteus's body. Osman fell to his knees as a sickening vertigo overtook his body. "Stop it!" Ever cried out as he lashed at Leyu with the full power of his telepathy. As he did so Storm blasted Tsunami with a flash of lighting. The woman fell to the ground dead. "You'll pay for that!" She-Hulk growled. "No we won't!" Mutant Forger exclaimed as four men with white suits appeared in front of him. "Meet my latest creations. They all are super fast and their touch decays organic matter like you wouldn't believe." A look of dread crossed both She-Hulk's and Hellios's faces as the four blue haired men charged at them. They were like a blur and before Jennifer knew it she was being held by two of the mutants. She could fell her arms fall off and then her internal organs rot away. And with that Jennifer released herself to death. Turning around to look at Storm and Magik, Mutant Forger said, "We have business to discuss." Five Days Later "So you're saying you can create an army for us?" Shard asked the longhaired man in front of her. Storm had bought him and the rest of his friends to her HQ only a few days ago. "Yes I can do exactly that and you can begin to liberate this world from Legolas's control," Mutant Forger said without skipping a beat. He was telling Shard she could finally accomplish what she's been trying to do for years and years. "Well then what the hell are we waiting for? Let's get this army together!" Shard exclaimed. She could almost feel tears well up in her eyes, but she wouldn't let them come out. Long ago she had told herself she would never cry. This time would be no different. No different at all. Besides she had hope now and who could ask for anything more? |
