MARVEL 2000 PROUDLY PRESENTS THE MIGHTY AVENGERS in...THE KANG/ULTRON WAR! What Has Come Before: Protecting America from both sides of the country, the bi-coastal branches of the Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, are due to become trapped between two unstoppable forces at war with one another. Instead of alien races bent on domination, the Avengers stand between their two deadliest enemies: on one side stands Ultron, an artificially intelligent robot with a hatred for all things organic; and on the other stands Kang, the Conqueror of all he surveys and ruler of a vast temporal army. While serving with the Avengers West Coast branch, Doctor Henry Pym - creator of the original, evil Ultron - has recently set his mind on redeeming this past failure. Against the wishes and warnings of his friends and teammates, Pym has recreated a new version of Ultron that is seemingly the opposite of his forefather. Whether this Ultron continues to befriend his creator remains to be seen as the War breaks out before them. And unbeknownst to all - Ultron, Kang, or Avengers - there is a fourth party involved in this conflagration. His name is Immortus, ruler of the other-dimensional Limbo and self-proclaimed caretaker of time. Determined to stop Kang's warlord ways, Immortus has gathered his own team of Avengers, each member plucked from different points in history, to fight his battles. To them, the victory of Ultron is acceptable if it spells the downfall of Kang. Now, the eve of battle is quickly approaching as the Avengers are united to fight against two brutal and determined forces.
