Trained to be a vampire hunter practically since birth, Eric Brown possesses an enzyme in his blood which makes him immune to vampire bites, as well as grants him a vampire's strength, healing, and bloodlust yet he possesses none of their weaknesses. However, in the battle with the demonic Erebus, he was apparently killed.
Not too long ago, Abraham Whistler was bitten by Deacon Frost. When Blade found his mentor, he was a bloody mess and chose to commit suicide rather than turn. However, it didn't seem to work, and Whistler returned to life as a vampire.
Little is known of the mysterious vampire who calls himself Hunger. He appears to possess pyrokinetic abilities and has a desire to engineer a new form of vampyr.
