A ragged and torn Fontanelle along with the young Neo/Mutant hybrid Gaia are seated at a lopsided brown coffee table explaining to the new students and Mikhail their encounter with the Neo, Barbican. All Gloria wanted to do was take a hot shower and hit the bed for a while. She could only imagine how the young Gaia was feeling. She had done her best to explain to the young girl about all the workings of the Exiles. Fontanelle wasn't sure if all the information had gotten through.

"So you're saying that this brute was attacking Gaia for no apparent reason?" Mikhail asked. Rarely in his experiences has he known someone to be without motive?

"That's exactly what I said. Perhaps there is a motive, but it eludes me," Fontanelle replied sharply. She was supposed to be the leader and Mikhail was questioning her.

Suddenly there was a giant rumble that knocked everyone to the floor. In the doorway was the Neo Barbican. Before anyone could rise to their feet metal spikes came from the floor impaling everyone fatally except for Fontanelle and Gaia who had been protected by the purple haired child's powers. A rainbow color force field protected the young women, which angered Barbican greatly.

"You two just won't die! I'll just have to come up with more efficient ways to kill you two," Barbican smirked a he pulled a large machete out from behind his back. He reared his arm back over a frightened Gaia, but before he could complete the motion he simply vanished.

Fontanelle looked over to see a dying Mikhail's stretched out hand fall to the ground. He gave his last breaths to banish Barbican back wherever he came from…hopefully. Gloria rushed over to Gaia and held her tight seeing the shock etched across the girl's face.

Morocco

"I believe the Externals have chickened out of this alliance sir. What are your orders now?" Yurike asked the grand manipulator Sinister. She knew he wouldn't be pleased with this latest development. Slowly Sinister turned his seat around to look at Yurike. The woman had hated staring into those red eyes. They never showed any true emotion. If eyes were the gateway to the soul then sinister had shut his gate long ago.

"The Externals I will deal with later. Yurike take the Nasty Boys and head to Greece. Young Peter and his mother are already there with the Exiles. Capture Domino alive and bring her to me. I shall send N24 and Z12 to follow you after they return with Dr. Reyes. Oh, and one last thing Yurike. Don't fail me!" Sinister vigorously exclaimed. He wanted his former lover Domino back here as soon as possible. Then he could teach her the error of her ways and where she truly belonged.

Rising slowly from his seat Sinister was about to return to work on creating a power-dampening mutant when he received a telepathic distress signal. He calmly walked to one of the nearest walls and pulled up a flat-screen computer. The image of a young and panicked N24 was on it.

"What bothers you my creation? It better not be anything too serious," Essex smiled sinisterly all his pointy white teeth showing. This made N24 cringe slightly though he tried his best to hide it.

"Dr. Reyes has escaped us sir," N24 said his face twitching slightly from nervousness. His master's reaction was what he feared more than a giant angry outburst. It's the reaction all those who worked for him hated to see. It either meant you was dead or someone else was about to die shortly.

"How?" Sinister asked coolly though a tsunami of anger was crashing within Essex's mind.

"We tried tracking the doctor down, but she went somewhere entirely unexpected. There was no way we could handle all the X-Men at Westchester sir."

"Fine. You and Z12 are needed in Greece anyway. Get there soon as humanly possible so as to save me from having to kill you myself. I want the Exiles eliminated and Domino bought to me. Is that clear?!" Sinister asked each of his words being like venom to N24.

China

"Forces are building Deus. It's time for me to strike," Gaunt said in a very excited manner.

"Of course, but don't you think you need more than the X-Genes?" Deus asked.

"Of course not! Not with me leading them. I'm going to go and when I return in glory our true planning shall begin Deus."

Deus simply smiled smugly as Gaunt began to teleport his X-Genes off to Greece to do battle with the Exiles and the forces of Sinister. Unknown to him his greatest enemy laid in wait.

Doom was on the horizon and no one involved in this conflict would walk away from it unscarred.

Himuntep

Fusion walked down the glistening hall alongside the leader of the Neo, New Son, and his lover, Domina. The three of them had been on guard for a while awaiting the return of Barbican and the chance to strike against Gaunt. Fusion had been nervous every waking hour in this time period. He wanted to find Gaunt and quickly. The sooner he did the faster he returned back to his world. Then he might be able to relax for some time. His home wasn't the greatest place, but it was better than this world of constant chaos. They were intergalactic wars brought to Earth, constant mutant terrorism, and global crime organizations running amuck. Nothing here was stable and he honestly thought all the super powered beings of this planet preferred it that way.

Suddenly as Fusion stared down the long and winding hall he felt a massive burst of energy in his head. As he knelt down from the shear force of this energy he garnered stares from New Son and Domina.

"What bothers you Fusion?" New Son asked in his uppity, regal tone. Slowly Fusion rose from his stance and rubbed at his eyes slightly.

"The battle has now been joined. I must go and I decided I will do it alone. The Neo need not expose themselves further through this conflict. Do not try to change my mind for it is already made up," Fusion proclaimed.

"The Neo want combat! Don't deny…"

Before New Son could even finish his sentence Fusion called upon the power of Gateway and was gone. Domina walked away from her would-be lover and master laughing. Fusion was a fool for not accepting the help of the Neo and it would be the end of him. Either way the Neo had gained valuable knowledge of the future, which they would use.

Greece

The Exiles along with Solidity and Nereel stood firm against the forces of Sinister. There were the newest additions Ozymandias and Yurike. Then there were the old enforcers the Nasty Boys. They seemed to be missing their de facto leader Ruckus, but unknown to the Exiles he was off doing his own thing as a member of the group Factor-X.

"Surrender Exiles and give Domino to us! If you do so we promise to spare your measly little lives," Ozymandias smiled pulling a large stone broadsword from his chest.

Suddenly Nereel lobbed one of her acid "spheres" at the base of Ever's neck making him yell out in pain. Instinctively his mind reached out and attacked Nereel along with her son causing their minds to cave in. This action killed both of them instantly. Colossus could only watch in horror as his son, former lover, and now teammate all fell to the ground with hard thuds.

It was then that the battle was joined. Yurike leaped into the air and landed a kick square in the middle of Domino's chest. As the woman of luck fell to the ground she pulled out an energy blaster and shot Yurike right in the head. The Asian mutant fell to the ground with a hard thud dead.

Sunfire meanwhile was dodging the long arms of Gorgeous George. Sunfire's agility in the air was not enough though as he was caught by one of George's hands and slammed into the green grass. Shiro slowly felt himself being crushed and he had no other choice, but to create a plasma field around his body singeing the hand of Gorgeous George.

"Ya play dirty!" George shouted as he reeled back from his hand being burnt. Sunfire arose from the ground with a smile.

"You attacked me so I simply did the honorable thing and attacked back. I do what I must!" Sunfire exclaimed as he began to barrage George with plasma blasts burning the mutant's body and not allowing him to concentrate on his powers. Shiro became so involved in what he was doing he didn't even pay attention to the fact he was killing George. In about the span of ten minutes George was no longer living and slumped to the ground a crusted mass of liquid. When Sunfire saw this he was overcome with what he had done. He couldn't stop staring at the dead body before him and the rest of the battle around him was absolute silence.

"We all die Sunfire! Just some sooner than others!" Ozymandias shouted in triumph as he jumped on top of Shiro and stabbed him through the chest with his sword killing the head of the Yashida Clan. The former servant of Apocalypse pulled his sword out of the body of Sunfire with a grin. He had not been able to fight in so long. The feeling was exhilarating. Suddenly he felt a strange feeling crawl up his arm and the stone that formed his body was breaking off. Another strange exhilaration came over Ozymandias and that was pure terror.

"You were always a coward Ozymandias," Gaunt said as he stepped through a giant aqua portal with his X-Genes at his back. With a wave of his hand the rest of Ozymandias crumbled into dust that blew into the wind.

"Who the hell is he?" Domino asked as she began to fire at him with her energy blaster. All her attempts at attacking Gaunt were futile as her blasts turned a different direction.

"The powers of your missing leader Exodus are exquisite. I revel in using them, but I would prefer it if my foot soldiers had their fun with you. X-Genes attack!" Gaunt yelled, but as he stared back all of his troopers were dead. With great anger he scanned their minds to find that psionic bombs had been implanted in them. Slow realization came over him as he figured out it was Deus that had set the bombs. Deus wanted him to fall in this battle. He would get that little worm yet.

"Ahh what happened poor big guy doesn't have any lackeys," Longshot taunted. Before he could throw out anymore insults Hairback leaped on him like a wild animal. Longshot quickly rolled away from the beast and with great speed he threw three darts at the mutant's face. Two hit his two eyes and the last one landed right in the middle of his forehead. Hairback slumped to the ground dead.

Longshot still suffering from the initial surprise of the attack laughed nervously. It was then that Slab grabbed him and lifted him into the air. With a sickening crack Longshot's spine was broken in two. The dumb brute threw down Longshot like a crumpled piece of paper to the ground.

"No one hurts Slab's friends and gets away," the mutant grunted. He was about to toy with the body some when a large metallic fist hit him square in the jaw sending him careening twenty yards into a group of olive bushes. Colossus ran throwing his body straight into Slab knocking the brute through another group of bushes.

"No more! No More!" Colossus yelled as his fists pounded into the already deformed face of Slab. Blood flung in all directions. Peter's rage was unquenchable. He had to watch as his friends fell all around him. His son had even fallen victim to this madness. Whoever was responsible would pay and pay dearly. Eventually the struggling body of Slab ceased to move. The steel man had killed and he felt no remorse. That was the worse kind of killing.

From across the field the yell of Domino reached out to Colossus, "Peter help me!"

The bloodied mutant looked over his shoulder to see Gaunt holding up Domino high in the air with what appeared to be telekinesis. Peter took off in a rush to help his friend in whatever way he could. He did not want to see another one of his friends die this day, but even his resolve wasn't enough to save Domino. Before he could even reach her Gaunt ripped her body in half. Colossus was right under her torn body so the blood rained down upon him. He fell to the ground as the tears began to flow. Colossus didn't have much time to agonize though as he was immediately lifted into the air by Gaunt.

"I don't know why Magneto didn't do this to you years ago," Gaunt laughed as he began to stretch out Peter's body with Magneto's powers.

Peter could not yell out as his mouth was magnetically shut. He could only look in horror at the grim face of Gaunt. Then he wished he could have smiled at what had come up behind Gaunt.

"Today your terror ends!" Fusion yelled as he jumped out through his aqua portal and landed on Gaunt's back. He immediately threw a device on Gaunt's shoulder. His body quickly grew a bright white color. Fusion's body did the same along with Sunfire and Colossus. In a blink they were all gone off to parts unknown.

China

"Ahh a nuisance out of my way. I think though endeavoring into this affair with these aliens is going to end up costing me too much. Francis call up my 'friends' and tell them the deal is off!" Deus commanded as he leaned back in his black leather chair.

"Of course. So where's our next destination?" Francis asked as he began to stride towards Deus's communications systems.

"Take me back to America. I'm getting tired of the food here anyway."
