Part 4 - Godzilla Destroyah

Seems that no matter who you are, life will draw you a bad hand. Doesn't matter if you're a mutant; a synthozoid; an unstoppable gamma-mutated human; a teenager who's bitten by a radioactive spider; or the King of all Monsters.
Godzilla was resting in the sea, when he was attacked by a piranha/octopus hybrid called the Priscatoid. He was injected with Anti-Nuclear Bacteria, which is weakening him and will eventually kill him. Then, he was attacked by a flying fiend named Mogu. Now, a creature named Destroyah, who resembled a demon and was 20 meters bigger than him, was about to attack.
Some days it doesn't pay to get up.
"Finally, I will have my revenge!" yelled Dr. Demonicus.
The SHIELD agents shrugged.
"What did you do with Erika Shiragami, Birely?" demanded Jones.
"Who? Oh, that girl those fools brought me. I had her killed".
"You twisted bastard!" Woo yelled.
"I don't believe you are in a position to insult me!" Demonicus yelled.
"You shall pay dearly for that!"
Godzilla fired his Atomic Ray at the demon-like Destroyah. The malevolent monster flew up, dodging it. It flew right at Godzilla, drawing blood from the Monster King's shoulder and knocking him down. Destroyah then landed, laughing.
Destroyah's chest then started to glow. As Godzilla started to get up, a blast of energy hit him, blowing him into a crater. Godzilla struggled to keep conscious.
"Yes, my pet, kill him!" Demonicus yelled as he watched the Monster King struggle with his creation. With the doctor glued to the battle, Jones saw his chance. Getting out his communicator, he made a call.
"Headquarters? Get me Director Forge!"
A few minutes later.
"Forge? We have a situation here. Dr. Demonicus has us captured, and his base is pure adamantium. Godzilla is here, and a monster under Demonicus' control is killing him.
"I don't give a damn about Greece or Magneto! Listen, Forge, all of humanity could be at stake here! Get more men, get Excalibur, get the Avengers, get anybody. We need our most powerful forces here, and we need it now!
"Listen Forge! I've been an agent a lot longer than you have! Perhaps when you have a few more missions under your belt, I'll respect ya like I do Fury! But right now, you're just some guy who the liberals in Washington gave a job to so the mutants will feel better!
"That's better, Forge".
Jones then heard someone clapping.
"A rousing speech, Mr. Jones. However, it won't do you any good" commented Demonicus.
Godzilla roared in anger. He would not retreat from this. He would make sure only one monster walked away alive from this!
Destroyah laughed. His wings started to flap, and he glided through the air. His tail grabbed Godzilla's face and he dragged him through the ground. Godzilla cried out in pain. He unleashed his Atomic Ray! However, instead of a blast of energy, it was a crackling stream of fire!
The fire did not effect Destroyah at all. It laughed, and charged Godzilla. His horn, stronger than adamantium, pierced Godzilla's hide. Godzilla roared, and tried to fire his Atomic Ray again. However...nothing came out. Destroyah took advantage of Godzilla's confusion, and knocked him down.
Godzilla could barley see. The battle end was near.
Demonicus laughed maniacally.
"Yes, Destroyah, destroy him! No, wait, let him suffer for a while"
Demonicus turned to the SHIELD agents.
"I suppose you wonder how I created such a menace.
"Well, like my other creations, I used the Lifestone to power it. As for DNA, I used fossils of crustaceans from the Cambrian Age. However, you may have notices its most unique ability is to drain oxygen. I must credit this to another scientist.
"Following the end of World War II, a Japanese scientist, Dr. Daisuke Serizawa, accidentally invented a weapon more dangerous than any nuclear weapon. He called it the Oxygen Destroyer. It could wipe out all life within a 100-mile radius.
"A group calling themselves the Axis Avengers tried to get the weapon in 1950. The All-Winners Squad prevented them, but Serizawa was killed and the weapon lost.
"However, someone else knew the formula; Lt. Hideto Ogata. He has since died, but he had a wife.
"One year ago, I tracked her down. She told me that a journal of his was in Tarzania. After which, I killed her.
"I went to Tarzania with some of my pets, though I ran into an unexpected problem with Captain America, * I got the formula
"I used the information to give my pets their oxygen destroying powers, which will now be the end of Godzilla!"
Just then, there was an explosion.
"What is this?" Demonicus yelled. He turned on the screen. The SHIELD heli-carrier was here!

Destroyah growled. It was about to finish off Godzilla, when a bunch of flying ants started attacking it! They didn't harm it, but it would show them not to bother it!
It flew up, smashing most of the small ants. However, it was after the flying thing where they came from!
It tore into the Helicarrier, sucking the Oxygen out! On the ground, Godzilla stirred. He wouldn't let that thing beat him! He tried to get up, but he fell. Again he tried, and failed.
However, his dorsal fins started to glow. The radiation in him was increasing, rising. The ANB was being dissolved. With anguishing determination, Godzilla once again started to rise and this time, he succeeded!
Godzilla roared, announcing to the world his return! He spied Destroyah, and unleashed his Atomic Ray, not blue, but white! Destroyah was hit, and fell to the ground.
Godzilla roared. Now he would show why He was King of all Monsters!
"What? No!" Demonicus exclaimed. He had expected for the Priscatoid and Mogu to fail, but he had designed Destroyah to be the ultimate killing machine. He had designed it so that Godzilla's Atomic Ray could not pierce it. And with the ANB in his system, there was no way he could even achieve that level of strength.
Just then, there was a blast. Tons of SHIELD agents came running in!
"HA! You can not stop me! My entire base is made out of adamantium! Nothing can destroy it!" Demonicus declared.
"Maybe, but we can change it" yelled one agent. He pulled out a machine. The Molecular Rearranger! Using it, he managed to break the adamantium bounds of his fellow agents!
"No!" Demonicus screamed.
He leaped at the agent, breaking the machine. He then started punching him, killing him.
"Come on, let's go" Woo ordered.
Destroyah got up. It stared at its enemy Godzilla. It laughed. Perhaps it would be an interesting fight after all. The demonic beast glided through the air. Godzilla blasted it with his Atomic Ray, focusing on the wings. The beast fell.
It started to get up, but found it couldn't fly. Its wings! They were ruined! It looked Godzilla with anger. It charged the King of all Monsters!
Godzilla stood defiantly, and grabbed Destroyah's horn. Tearing at it, Godzilla broke most of it off. Destroyah cried out in pain. It unleashed his breath, but Godzilla dodged.
He then unleashed his Atomic Ray! Destroyah cried out, and fell. Godzilla then decided it was time to end this. He used his Atomic Ray at full blast. A huge blast of energy hit Destroyah. Destroyah cried out, and tried to unleash his own ray. But it was too late.
Godzilla's ray consumed the monster. With a last roar, the menace was wiped out forever.
Godzilla roared a cry of victory. It was greater this time, for he had overcome great odds.
Now, to find the fiend who challenged him.
"NO!" yelled Demonicus.
His plans were ruined. Godzilla had overcome the ANB and killed Destroyah!
"All right Birely. You've had your fun. Now come with us", ordered Jones.
"Fools! I have one plan left. COMPUTER! Activate Plan Omega!"
The room started to glow.
"Soon, the adamantium will become pure energy. Nothing will survive!"
The agents rushed out. Demonicus was a mad man, and he would soon pay for it.
Godzilla lumbered towards the building. He was tired, and he was angry. This fiend would die.
He stared into the window. Demonicus looked back.
"NOW!"
Godzilla roared as the energy came at him, giving him pain at the cuts he received. But no, his enemy would not escape. He looked and found the ant. He unleashed his Atomic Ray at his foe!
"NO!" Demonicus cried out.
His adamantium suit protected him for a few seconds before it disintegrated. His body was soon burnt into ashes, and then, into nothing.
Godzilla roared in victory. He then turned. It was time for a long rest.
The next morning.
Jones wondered if it was a victory, or lost.
On one hand, Dr. Demonicus was dead. SHIELD had finally got the Lifestone, as well as tons of adamantium. However, Shirigami was so despaired that his daughter was dead, he refused to continue the ANB project. Did the people who would have been killed by Demonicus outweigh the deaths that radiation would cause in the future?
It seemed that the only clear winner in this situation was Godzilla.
Toshiaki Kubota, head of Kubota Enterprises, lit his cigar.
"Mr. Kubota?" his intercom buzzed.
"Yes?"
"Dr. Demonicus has been killed".
"Hmm. His monsters?"
"Also dead. However, we do have his research".
"Excellent. Get it to Bio-Major immediately".
"Unfortunately, SHIELD has acquired the Lifestone. Shall I hire some mercenaries to get it back?"
"No, they just screw it up. Have one of our dummy corporations, umm, Ares Arms, donate $1,000,000,000 to SHIELD. If there's one thing I've learned, money will get you anything".
"Yes, sir".
Kubota took a smoke. Hopefully their investment will pay off somewhat. Oh, well, it was probably for the best. Demonicus was getting too consumed by his revenge anyway. That was one of humanity's biggest faults. It was a good thing he wasn't one.
